Here is the recipe for pilau rice I learned back in hotel management school:
for 2 people
100g rice
a little butter
1 chopped onion
salt
water: 2 1/2 times the volume of the uncooked rice
- heat the butter
- add chopped onion
- let the onion get slightly golden ( not black)
- add rice
- add salt
- mix the rice and the salt
- add water
- let it boil until there is no more water left
( if you want to add some curry or safran, add it together with the salt)
Have a nice meal
